SLALOM Section

 

Welcome to the MCC Slalom section

​

Slalom has been a big part of the club since the 1950s and has seen us supply many junior members to the Canoe Slalom England Talent Programme. We have club paddlers paddling in all the canoe slalom divisions, from Division 4 to Prem and all ages from 7 years old (J8) to Veteran.

 

Training at the club is facilitated by a permanent slalom course, with a number of easily adjusted training gates. The section is floodlit and training continues throughout the year. We welcome people of all ages with a number of options for joining our training.

Junior* and Adult Training

Tuesdays: Marlins* 6.30 to 7.30

Thursdays, Adults** 7.30 until late.

**The Adult group is easy going with paddlers at all abilities that get together and coach each other as we have a wide range of abilities and experience.

Equipment

We have a wide range of slalom boats available for hire, from junior to XL slalom boats, both C1 and K1, all 3.5 metre in length. These can be hired during club sessions or taken off site to races at the club member standard rates. Also we can supply slalom paddles, decks, BAs and helmets if needed.
